CC&G CEO and General Manager & Monte Titoli CEO
Paolo started his career working for the Bank of Italy from 1980 to 2001, having completed his degree in Political Sciences at ‘La Sapienza’ University in Rome in 1978. During this period he was involved in several projects of markets and post trading development and privatization.
From 2002 to 2009 Paolo covered the role of General Manager in Monte Titoli, delivering transforming projects as Express II and successfully contributing to the integration of the company in Borsa Italiana and then into London Stock Exchange Group.
In December 2009 Paolo Cittadini was appointed CEO and General Manager of CC&G, post-trade clearing and central counterparty services. In November 2010 he was appointed CEO of Monte Titoli, the Italian Central Securities Depository.
Currently, Paolo is also member of Target 2 Securities Advisory Group (AG) and T2S CSD Steering Group (CSG) in European Central Bank. Moreover, he is member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee at ECSDA – European Central Securities Despositories Association since 2004.
