Jakhura Muhammad Hanif
Mr. Muhammad Hanif Jakhura is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP).
Mr. Jakhura joined CDC in 1994 and after serving as General Manager and Executive Director from 1994 to 2002 was elevated to the position of CEO in March 2002. Mr. Jakhura was also appointed as the first Chief Executive Officer of National Clearing Company of Pakistan Ltd. (NCCPL) in January 2002 and served in that position as well up to September, 2005. He has the distinction of successfully implementing Central Depository System and National Clearing System in Pakistan linking the users of these systems across Pakistan. Mr. Jakhura is currently serving as a Director of ITMINDS Limited – a wholly owned subsidiary of CDC, Institute of Capital Markets and an Independent Director of Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited. He was amongst the first batch of participants who completed the course conducted by Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance (PICG) for Certified Directors in 2007.
He has represented CDC at various international forums including Association of National Numbering Agencies based in Brussels (ANNA), International Securities Services Association (ISSA), Central Securities Depositories (CSDs) and Asia-Pacific Central Depositories Group (ACG). He has also served as the Chairman of Asia-Pacific Central Depositories Group for the year 2006-07. He has been elected as member of the Executive Committee, Asia-Pacific Central Depositories Group (ACG) for a term of three years starting December 2010.
Mr. Jakhura is also serving in various capacities in organizations promoting education in Pakistan.
