Lum Yong Teng
Mr Lum Yong Teng is responsible for the operations of the central securities depository, The Central Depository (Pte) Limited (“CDP”) which include securities custody, issuers support, corporate action, payment and securities borrowing & lending services.
In this role, Mr Lum oversees the safe-keeping and settlement of securities traded on SGX held in 1.4 million CDP direct securities accounts and 100,000 Depository Agent sub-accounts, the provision of support services to listed companies and issuers (pre and post listing), corporate actions processing and entitlements distribution to shareholders and a securities borrowing and lending facility for participants.
Mr Lum has 20 years of experience in the securities industry having joined the Singapore stock exchange in 1991 to focus on market and product development. From 1998 to 2000 he worked with Citigroup in Securities Custody Services. Prior to assuming the current role, Mr Lum had also taken on other roles in SGX ranging from the management of securities clearing operations and other securities related projects.
Mr Lum holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of New Brunswick, Canada.
