Chief Executive Officer, Clearstream
Jeffrey Tessler joined Deutsche Börse Group in October 2004 following a 25-year career with The Bank of New York Company Inc., where he held a number of key management positions. Mr Tessler has been a Member of the Executive Board of Deutsche Börse AG since he joined Deutsche Börse Group.
He is the Chief Executive Officer of Clearstream and responsible for Deutsche Börse Group's post-trade business.
In his previous role, Mr Tessler served as Executive President of BNY Securities Group. He also served as General Manager of The Bank of New York in Europe from 1998 to 2003 and as Head of The Bank of New York’s Securities Industry Banking Division from 1988 to 1998. Mr Tessler began his career in 1979 at the Irving Trust Company, which merged with The Bank of New York in 1988. His experience includes roles as a money market trader and dealer in U.S. government bonds.
Mr. Tessler holds an MBA from Seton Hall University, New Jersey.
