Callahan Mary Ann

Mary Ann Callahan has been a Managing Director, Global Relations & Development, at The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) since 2002, and earlier served in several of DTCC’s international clearing and depository units over three decades, and as head of DTCC’s London office for four years.

Since 1985, she has built DTCC’s relationships with many depositories around the world, including links with 16 market infrastructures. She also has been involved in establishing and expanding DTCC’s special partnership with DCV in Chile since 2010, and has furthered DTCC’s relationships with 15 other market infrastructures through Memoranda of Understanding. Along with Lisa Argento of DTCC, she has developed DTCC’s GREAT (Global Relations Education And Training) summer workshop forum, now in its sixth year.

She recently completed three terms as president of the Americas’ Central Securities Depositories Association (ACSDA), where Jorge Hernan Jaramillo, CEO, Deceval, Colombia, succeeded her last month. In that role, Mary Ann and Jorge, along with Bruce Butterill, have been part of the founding board of the World Forum of CSDs. Besides representing DTCC in the organizing committees for most of the worldwide CSD Conferences, she has been active in the International Securities Services Association (ISSA) and CCP12.

In 2009, Global Custodian magazine tapped her as one of its Industry Legends, and also named her CSD Personality of the Year in the 1990s. She was twice named to Irish America’s Wall Street 50 in 2009 and 2010.

Earlier, Ms. Callahan served as public affairs officer at Citibank and at Macmillan, Inc., and prior to that, as associate editor of Business Insurance magazine. She has an MBA in Finance from Stern Graduate Business School at New York University and a BA from Manhattanville College.
