Georg Zinner has been Head of Capital Market Services at Oesterreichische Kontrollbank AG (OeKB) since 2000. He is responsible for the numerous services OeKB provides in this business field, such as acting as CSD in Austria, operations of the cash market clearing for the Austrian Central Counterparty and inter alia providing clearing and risk management services to entities managing the balancing power in the Austrian gas and electricity markets.
Mr. Zinner joined OeKB in 1990 as manager of the project to introduce an electronic trading system at the Vienna Stock Exchange. He played a leading role in the implementation of the Austrian Options and Futures Exchange, which merged with the Vienna Stock Exchange in 1999. He was responsible for the introduction of netting and rolling settlement at the Vienna Stock Exchange in 1997 and for preparing the framework for the implementation of a central counterparty in Austria.
Next to memberships in the boards of several institutions in the Austrian energy market he is member of the Supervisory Board of KELER in Budapest.
Mr. Zinner holds a degree in Law from the University of Vienna.
